Happy New Year welcome 2010! I can't believe how last year flew and here we are in not only a new year but a new decade...I find this so exciting! This card is made using a technique called soot stamping...for this technique you need to use glossy white cardstock from SU! a candle and of course the stamp set House of Haunts...you take your glossy carstock and with the glossy side down you move slowly back and forth over a lit candle, don't stop moving or your cardstock will start on fire...when the whole piece of carstock is nice and charcoaly you place it burnt side up on a table and stamp your image (careful not to get your finger prints on the charcoal side!)...with no ink, then you must use a spray sealer to seal the image! This gives a great eerie look to this card!
I love fall and the holiday's that are to come.....here is a little halloween card I made using the new Stampin' Up! set called "Greeting Card Kids". I used the new color Crushed Curry, along with Old Olive, & Rich Razzleberry, dsp "Wicked Fun" image was watercolored from ink pads and water color pen! I hope you enjoy this card....
Well, I received my pre-order for the upcoming 2010 Stampin' Up Summer Mini Catalog..and I must say I absolutly love the stamp set called "Elements of Style"! I must confess...Shabby Chic is my favorite style of stamping...I love the old and distressed look! Card stock: Soft Suede, Pretty in Pink, Sahara Sand, Ink: So Saffron, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Sahara Sand, and Chocolate chip, Stamp Sets: Elements of Style, En Francais, Sanded....lots of distressing with my fingers, sponging....and I absolutly love this card!
