Polished Stone and Heat Embossing....

This little card is made using a Stampin' Up! set called Eastern Blooms. I think that it has a look of elegance. The black cardstock is from SU! and is in a package called Taste of Textiles, it is a textured black, which I have embossed in gold. I have used SU! brushed gold behind the polished stone piece, I think this really highlighted the gold, the flowers are punched out of a scrap of the polished stone that was left over using the Trio Flower punch. For this card I used gold re-inker and SU! In Color Tangerine Tango!

To create you own polished stone you will need SU! glossy white paper, choose either gold or silver re-inker, cotton ball, and some rubbing alcohol. On your glossy white cardstock you will place a few silver or gold dots randomly, then you will apply the rubbing alcohol to your cotton ball add a couple of drops of your re-inker color choice(s) choices and dab the colored cotton ball across the glossy white cardstock to mix the colors on to the gold/silver re-inkers mix into a beautiful pattern. This technique is so easy, and really makes a WOW effect to any project. Happy Stamping.....
